Privacy policy.

Who we are.

This website is run by Unyx Labs Pty Ltd, ABN 83 695 332 953, a Sydney company building one system for cafes, restaurants, bars, takeaways and multi-venue groups. In this policy, "we", "us" and "Unyx Labs" mean Unyx Labs Pty Ltd.

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988. This policy covers this website only. The platform itself is in pilot and is not yet available to the public.

What we collect.

Register interest form. When you register interest in the platform we collect:

• your name
• your venue name and venue type
• your suburb or postcode
• your email address
• your phone number, if you choose to give it
• the till or POS system you use today, if you choose to give it
• whether you ticked the box agreeing to receive marketing email
• the date and time you submitted the form

Every field except phone and current till is required, because we cannot reply to a registration without them.

Web logs. Our hosting provider records standard technical details when you visit a page, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time of the request. We use these records only to keep the site running and secure. We do not link them to your registration.

Email you send us. If you email us, we keep the email and your address so that we can reply.

We do not collect sensitive information through this website, and we ask you not to include any in the form or in email.

Why we collect it.

We use registration details to:

• reply to your registration and contact you about the platform and the price for your venue size
• understand which kinds of venues, and which areas, are interested in the platform
• send you marketing email about Unyx Labs, but only if you ticked the consent box

We use web logs to operate, secure and improve the website.

We do not use your information for any other purpose unless you agree or the law requires it.

Marketing email.

We send marketing email only to people who ticked the consent box on the register form. The box is unticked by default. Every marketing email identifies Unyx Labs as the sender and includes an unsubscribe link. If you unsubscribe we stop within five business days. Leaving the box unticked does not affect your registration. We will still contact you about your own registration, because that is what you asked us to do.

Where we store it and who can see it.

Our software collects your registration and stores it on Google Cloud, in the Sydney region. The website is hosted on Google Cloud as well. Google provides the infrastructure; it does not use your registration for its own purposes.

Only authorised Unyx Labs staff can read registrations, and only after signing in. Visitors to the website cannot read, change or delete registrations. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

Who we share it with.

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

We disclose personal information only to:

• Google, which provides the hosting and the database where our software stores registrations
• an email service provider, once we choose one, to send registration confirmations and, with your consent, marketing email
• professional advisers, such as lawyers or accountants, where needed
• anyone the law requires us to tell, such as a court or regulator

Service providers may use your information only to provide their service to us.

Overseas disclosure.

Your registration is stored in Sydney. Google may access data from other countries when it provides support or maintains its systems, under its standard customer terms and data processing arrangements. If we choose an email service provider located outside Australia, we will name it and its location here before we start using it.

How long we keep it.

We keep your registration only while we need it to contact you about the platform, and we delete it sooner if you ask us to. Once we no longer need it, we delete or de-identify it. Our hosting provider keeps web logs for a short period under its own retention schedule, and we do not keep a copy.

Cookies and analytics.

Before launch this website sets no analytics or advertising cookies and loads no third-party tracking scripts. Fonts are served from this website, not from a font service. The register form loads a Google script so it can save your registration, and nothing else.

If we add an analytics tool before or at launch, we will update this policy first, say which tool it is and say what it collects.

Access and correction.

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, at any time. Email privacy@unyxlabs.ai. We will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity first. There is no charge.

Children.

This website and the platform are for people who run venues. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, email us and we will delete it.

Loyalty and customer data at launch.

The platform's loyalty features will handle information about venues' customers as well as about venues. We will cover them in a separate, more detailed privacy policy and collection notice, published before launch. We would collect biometric or other sensitive information only with the person's express opt-in consent, and we would offer a non-biometric alternative to anyone who prefers it. Nothing on this website collects that kind of information.

Complaints.

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, email privacy@unyxlabs.ai or write to us at the address below. We will acknowledge your complaint within seven days and aim to resolve it within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at www.oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

Changes to this policy.

We will update this policy when the way we handle personal information changes, and at launch. The date at the top shows the current version. If a change affects how we use registrations, we will email registered venues before it takes effect.
